:hmm: 1984ish/Orwellian... depressing but true... mighty profound, Rob...
somehow your expression of it has a hint of hope... I think it's the texture (just kidding)... I am very impressed by all the recognizable images and those not quite so... I do love the texture...

 indeed, Rob... a sign of strength coming from you with your country's recent devastations... which, I might add, are to me, a kind of manifestation of the imbalances our world is wrought with, as your image soberly articulates... :iconeatsleepndeviantart:

we're all "domesticated", not living our lives as nature intended, living in a society imposed upon us by a tiny minority who once sought power over their territory and their subjects, and which, centuries later, is now considered "normal" life

a very haunting painting

exactly and I believe we've lost the natural instinct to survive with nature.
Thanks!

in a world where the global corporate elite plunder & seek exclusive control of the world's natural resources, from saudi arabia, aghanistan, iraq and now libya to the amazon rainforests and elsewhere, and also at the expense of the lives of indigenous species and those of ordinary people, there is no respect for nature and the balance of life

so yes, i agree, to be at one with nature becomes of little consideration in a corporate-controlled, consumer society
