After the Fact

I know it's over but I had to get this out to clean out the garbage...now I'm going to do some soft, gentle work like hanging laundry, feeding the fish, and making pumpkin pies for the neighbors tasty chickens....adds a little nutmeg flavor to the breasts.

No...it's not celebrated here. I have a private English school, so I have a Halloween party for the children.

I like all spices. My two sons are married to women of Indian origin and they have introduced me to spices. I only use a few and not hot ones. I prefer those that have a strong aroma. :)

I'm not surprised they were so precious centuries ago. I know that many can cure illnesses. :)

That's cool. Your daughter-in-laws must have some great recipes.:)
I would have to say two of my favorite spices are cardamon and cinnamon...cardamon in my coffee and cinnamon buns.:)

Oh yes. I love them both. I use cardamom in dishes and to make teas with some fennel.
Cinnamon is delicious too.
In England cinnamon is used to flavour sweet milky dishes such as rice.
Cloves are used in apple pies.
The British use them in their own traditional ways.
I was surprised to see how asian cooking uses them.

The best cook in the family is my younger son's mother-in-law.

Well I don't use them very often now but I did some years ago.
